The Charity Classic silent auction is back in person!

 

We will be accepting donations for both the silent auction and grab bag experiences, which take place at the Charity Classic gala held on Tuesday, June 27.

Extended deadline:
Donations will be accepted via the auction donation form through Monday, June 5. The deadline to receive items at our corporate office is Thursday, June 15. Items received after that date are not guaranteed to be included in the silent auction or grab bag experience.

Silent auction donations.

The Charity Classic silent auction has long been one of the top-rated experiences for gala attendees. In 2019 the auction featured 325 items including consumer electronic products, travel and entertainment packages, and autographed memorabilia.

Donations must be received no later than Thursday, June 15. Ship to the Best Buy corporate address shown below.

Large appliance donations

Due to past logistical and fulfillment challenges, we will not be accepting donations of large appliances for the silent auction. If you have questions, please contact charityclassic@bestbuy.com

Premier items

Do you have a unique, high-value item or once-in-a-lifetime experience to donate to our silent auction? We consider this type of donation a premier item and it receives special attention during the gala reception. Please contact charityclassic@bestbuy.com to provide additional details about your premier item.

Grab bag donations.

The grab bag stations at the Charity Classic gala are always very popular, and we need a lot of donations! If you can donate product for the $50, $100, or $150 grab bag event please review the requirements listed below:

Grab bag items must be donated in quantities of between 10 and 25 items.

• Items intended for the $50 grab bag category must have a retail value greater than $75

• Items intended for the $100 grab bag category must have a retail value greater than $150

• Items intended for the $150 grab bag category must have a retail value greater than $200

Grab bag items must be shipped to the Best Buy corporate address shown on your auction donation receipt. Items must be received no later than Thursday, June 15.

Auction FAQs.

Even though we will be back in person for the silent auction, you will have access to bid online for items beginning Thursday, June 22. The best of both worlds!

The auction will close at the end of the gala reception on Tuesday, June 27.

Yes! A link to access the auction will be provided closer to the June 22 open date.

A premier auction item is a high-value, unique item or experience that will be highlighted during the gala reception. Please contact the planning team at charityclassic@bestbuy.com if you have a premier item to donate.

The Best Buy Social Impact team will hang on to your product for use in future fundraising events.

All auction items or grab bag donations — along with a corresponding packing slip and copy of the email receipt — must arrive at the address listed below by Thursday, June 15.
