On Tuesday, July 30, we’re throwing our annual Charity Classic gala in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. The evening kicks off at 5:00 p.m. CT.

We are thrilled to once again showcase the talents and passions of teens from around the country in our Teen Tech Center Project Showcases. During the reception student experts will show you firsthand how your dollars are building brighter futures through technology.

The in-person silent auction is back once again! Be sure to donate auction items when registration opens so we can make this event spectacular. Bidding will be open 5:00 – 7:15 p.m.

After the reception we’ll kick things off with a fantastic program highlighting the amazing achievements of the Best Buy Foundation. Later in the evening you will have the chance to win exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime experiences at our live auction. The gala also includes a seated dinner and an incredible concert to wrap up the night.

Teen Tech Center project showcases.

Each teen tech center project showcase sponsorship represents one showcase. There are six total sponsorships available.

Sponsorship dollars for each experience will help support this initiative, including the purchase of equipment, travel to the gala, and support of overall teen project development. Sponsors are welcome to donate viable equipment to enhance the station if interested. Following the Charity Classic gala, all equipment will be transferred to the Teen Tech Centers.

Each project showcase sponsorship opportunity will feature your company logo within the showcase area.

Born from a desire to clean a highly polluted section of their local river, this group designed a water filtration system that cleans the water while providing water quality updates wirelessly. This program will offer them the chance to take their project to the next level and further refine and improve their designs.

These ambitious teens plan to design, manufacture, build, wire, and program a custom robotic arm designed with an alternative and innovative method to create superior grip.

These teens plan to create a custom designed, enlarged 3D printed mechanical keyboard. The teens will be considering and demonstrating all aspects of the design from key feel, ergonomics, materials, circuitry, and more.

Teen Tech Center: The Neighborhood Place – San Antonio, TX

For this project, the teens will be writing, filming, editing, and producing an original video capturing their experiences within the Teen Tech Center, highlighting the influence it has had on each of them, their families, and their community.

The Charity Classic is our premier golf tournament.

Two days of play at a top-level Minnesota course offers an opportunity for vendors and their Best Buy partners to network while enjoying the great game of golf. The Charity Classic golf tournament will be held at the MN Valley Country Club in Bloomington, MN on Monday and Tuesday, July 29 and 30. Play begins at 8:00 a.m. each day.

NEW this year! Come join us at the Twin Cities’ premier indoor pickleball club, Lucky Shots, for the first ever Charity Classic Pickleball Open.

Gather your team of 4 to compete in fun, inclusive, low-pressure games of this hot new sport! You will
choose amongst your team which 2 players will play each game (the other 2 teammates become head
cheer crew for the game!). Each game will be played to 11. Points from every game your team plays will be added together for a final total at the end to declare our first ever Charity Classic Pickleball Open Winners!

Join us starting at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30. Tournament play will be from 10:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

The popular fishing derby is back for two days during the week of Charity Classic!

Your group will gather at Lord Fletcher’s on beautiful Lake Minnetonka either Tuesday, July 30 or Wednesday, July 31. Be there at 8:00 a.m. for fishing registration and breakfast, then 9:30 a.m. is blast off!

Spend a day networking and relaxing on one of the Twin Cities’ best-loved lakes. You will be accompanied by an experienced fishing guide and compete in friendly competitions among other anglers. We will end with a reception and awards on Lord Fletcher’s gorgeous outdoor patio.

The Best Buy Foundation™ is excited to partner with Best Buy’s Run/Walk FIN (Focused Inclusion Network) and add to our growing list of ways to participate in the 2024 Charity Classic.

This 5k run/1 mile walk will take place on Wednesday, July 31 at Donaldson Park, a short walk from Best Buy’s headquarters in Richfield, MN. Warm up and stretches begin at 8:00 a.m. and you can run, walk, or roll your way to the finish line starting at 9:00 a.m. Participate in person or virtually —this event is open to all employees, vendors and community members.
