On Tuesday, June 27, we’re throwing our annual Charity Classic gala in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. The evening kicks off at 5:30 p.m. CT.
We are thrilled to once again showcase the talents and passions of teens from around the country in our Teen Tech Center Project Showcases. During the reception student experts will show you firsthand how your dollars are building brighter futures through technology.
Speaking of the reception: we heard you loud and clear in our 2022 survey, and the in-person silent auction is coming back! Be sure to donate auction items when registration opens so we can make this event spectacular.
After the reception we’ll kick things off with a fantastic program highlighting the amazing achievements of the Best Buy Foundation. Later in the evening you will have the chance to win exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime experiences at our live auction. The gala also includes a seated dinner and an incredible concert to wrap up the night.

Teen Tech Center project showcases.
Experience the projects Teen Tech Center members are working on and meet the teens behind the work. Each showcase will spotlight a different project from a variety of focus areas.
These showcases will highlight select projects that are already underway in The Best Buy Foundation’s Teen Tech Centers and show what is possible when a partner goes the extra mile to invest in a teen’s dream. In the months leading up to the event, sponsors will be matched with selected teens seeking support to bring their project to the next level. This alliance is intended to deepen a partner’s connection to the program and provide an authentic project showcase experience at this year’s gala.
Sponsorship dollars for each experience will help support this initiative, including the purchase of necessary equipment for a showcase and support of the overall teen project development experience. Sponsors are welcome to donate viable equipment to enhance the station if interested. Following the Charity Classic gala, all equipment will be transferred to the Teen Tech Centers.

The Charity Classic is our premier golf tournament. Two days of play at top-level Minnesota courses offer an opportunity for vendors and their Best Buy partners to network while enjoying the great game of golf. This year the Charity Classic will be played at two courses.
Day one: Hazeltine National Golf Club
Monday, June 26 | 8:30 a.m. shotgun start
The first day of the tournament offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play at the prestigious Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, MN. This 7,674-yard course designed by Robert Trent Jones opened in 1962. Since then it has hosted PGA Championships in both 2002 and 2009, and the Ryder Cup in 2016.

Day two: Minnesota Valley Country Club

Our second tournament day will be held at the Minnesota Valley Country Club, winner of the 2018 Minnesota Golf Association Member Club of the Year Award. Last year the course was ranked in the top 20 in Golf Digest’s “Best Golf Courses in Minnesota”. MVCC is in Bloomington, MN, and is the home course of our very own Mr. Jason Bonfig.

The Partners Championship golf tournament will be held at Legends Golf Club in Prior Lake, MN on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 27 and 28. Play begins at 8:30 a.m. each day.
This nationally recognized championship course is nestled in a pristine wooded and marshy area, presenting challenging topography for a memorable game. This shotgun style tournament offers a more relaxing pace of play at a great value. The Partners Championship is a fantastic opportunity for vendors to have fun and network with their Best Buy partners.

Due to its great popularity, the fishing derby has expanded to two days during the week of Charity Classic! Your group will gather at Lord Fletcher’s on beautiful Lake Minnetonka at 8:30 a.m. on either Monday, June 26 or Wednesday, June 28.
Spend a day networking and relaxing on one of the Twin Cities’ best-loved lakes. You will be accompanied by an experienced fishing guide and compete in friendly competitions among other anglers. We will end with a reception and awards on Lord Fletcher’s gorgeous outdoor patio.
